"Claude Blackwell of San Antonio, Texas, who has a well established kennel of Pit Bull Terriers and owner of the stud dog which has been advertised by him as Jack Johnson, writes us that he has changed the name of the dog to Blackwell's Jack.
This is a 50-pound dog, tiger brindle in color, and is a direct descendant of the old British Isle dog, Gallus. We are pleased to reproduce a new photo of Jack in these columns this month."
