Ch. Sox of Chicago was bred by Joe Corvino out of Corvino's Dick x Corvino's Darky. Sox of Chicago won the 1938 STCA National Specialty and Best of Breed at the 1940 Westminster Kennel Club show. Corvino was big into the pit fighting scene as well as one of the first members of the Staffordshire Terrier Club of America. Corvino continued to breed dogs that would be matched and also participate in AKC events.
