Notes:
A fatal kennel fight recently took place in Weeks' Kennels at Jamestown, N. Y., in which McKeen's Brindle Kate, a daughter of Swineford's King Paddy and Bruce Duke, was killed by Week's Silversides. Kate chewed her way through two partitions of fourteen gauge two-inch mesh wire to do battle with Silversides and although Kate could have withdrawn from the fight at any time she stayed and took her death like the game little lady that she was.Brindle Kate was owned by T. J. McKeen of Ohio and although Mr. McKeen regrets her loss he says he is glad she knew how to die and is fortunate in having more of her kind in his kennels.
